Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the review of existing policies and, with guidance, make necessary adjustments (renewals, endorsements).

  • Respond to internal and external client queries in person, by phone or email.

  • Review, with guidance, proposal forms/slips, and prepare quotations for new business enquiries.

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Senior management or the Core team.

  • Develop and service Brokers’ requests.

  • Undertake Monthly renewals.

  • Prepare all policy documentation.

  • Set up new and update existing products schedules in Underwriting System.

  • Assist in new business development and projects as required.

  • Individual performance objectives will be set on an annual basis.

Skills, Experience & Attributes:

  • Minimum experience of 2 years in handling commercial underwriting or a related area, and proven skills in Insurance knowledge.

  • Excellent spoken and written communication abilities, with the skill to interact well with clients, and stakeholders, and explain complex information clearly.

  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions.

  • Having professional insurance training or relevant studies would be considered an advantage for this position.

  • Fluency in Maltese, both spoken and written.
